It was the BQAA’s turn to hand out the Bev Goulding Awards this year at the COSSA AGM. The Bev Goulding award is given each year to 2 deserving coaches who have made significant contributions to athletics at the high school, district and association levels. Our award winners this year exemplify all that is good about athletics at their high schools and beyond. Jeff McDougall (THS) is a long time coach, convener and athletic director involved with football, boys and girls hockey, boys basketball and ultimate in his school. After 26 years, Jeff has decided to step away and head out on a new adventure teaching in the Netherlands! The staff and students of Trenton High wish him all the best. Sadie Stewart (CHS) ticks a lot of the same boxes coaching and acting as athletic director while being involved in volleyball and soccer to name just a few of the sports she is involved in. Sadie is a passionate defender of ‘small town’ school sport and is always looking for ways to give her athletes the best experience possible. Congratulations to both of this years winners!
